Overview
Vivasoft is seeking visionary Data Architects to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise-grade data ecosystems. You will be responsible for defining the blueprint of our data management systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and perfectly aligned with our strategic business goals.
This role requires a blend of deep technical mastery in AWS and Spark, strategic planning, and the leadership skills necessary to drive architectural decisions across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
- Architectural Blueprinting: Design and maintain efficient, scalable data schemas and define relationships between complex data entities across relational and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Data Engineering: Architect and oversee the implementation of AWS-native data solutions, with a heavy focus on AWS Glue and PySpark.
- ETL & Integration: Design and manage sophisticated Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows to ensure seamless data movement across enterprise systems.
- Data Warehousing & Lakes: Build and manage high-performance data warehouses and lakes using Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Governance & Security: Implement and enforce robust data quality, privacy, and compliance policies (GDPR/PII) alongside master data management (MDM) best practices.
- Optimization: Perform expert-level SQL query optimization and performance tuning for large-scale, high-concurrency data systems.
- Strategic Leadership: Align data architecture with organizational goals, providing a roadmap for future scalability and emerging AI/ML initiatives.
- Mentorship & Influence: Work closely with stakeholders and engineers to drive architectural adoption and mentor data engineering teams.
Requirements (Must Have – Non-Negotiable):
- 8+ years of professional experience in the technology field.
- 5+ years focused on data-related roles, with at least 1 year of experience as an Architect.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficiency with AWS (Cloud-native architectures) and AWS Glue.
- Spark Mastery: Strong hands-on knowledge of PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Advanced SQL: Elite-level proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulation, and performance tuning.
- Data Modeling: Expert skills in database design (Relational & NoSQL) and scalable schema architecture.
- Enterprise Experience: Proven track record of working within large-scale, enterprise-level environments.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing and Big Data technologies.
- Experience in managing real-time data streaming and integration (Kafka/Flink).
- Solid understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic planning.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Databricks or Palantir.
- AI/ML Awareness: Interest or experience in designing architectures that support machine learning and AI model deployment.
- Experience with data streaming and real-time processing architectures.
- Proficiency in other backend languages (Python, Java, or Scala).
